Welcome — and what these terms are
Veilmoon is a free astrology and tarot website made for reflection and a little wonder. These Terms of Use are the agreement between you and [OPERATOR NAME] ("we," "us," "Veilmoon") for using the site.
By visiting or using Veilmoon, you're agreeing to these terms. They're meant to be plain and fair. If something here doesn't sit right with you, that's okay — please don't use the site.
There are no accounts to sign up for today, so there's nothing to accept but this: use Veilmoon kindly and at your own discretion, and we'll do our best to keep it lovely and free.
For reflection — not professional advice
This is the important one, so we'll say it plainly. Astrology and tarot on Veilmoon are offered for reflection, self-understanding, and entertainment. They are not fact, prediction, or professional guidance of any kind.
Nothing here is a substitute for advice from a qualified doctor, therapist, lawyer, financial adviser, or other professional. Please don't make medical, legal, financial, or mental-health decisions based on a card you drew or a chart you generated.
If you're struggling or facing a serious choice, reach out to a real professional or someone you trust. A reading can be a nice prompt for thinking — it should never be the thing you lean on when the stakes are high.
For grown-ups (13 and up)
Veilmoon isn't directed to children under 13, and it isn't meant for them. If you're under 13, please don't use the site.
If you're a parent or guardian and you believe a younger child has been using Veilmoon, know that nothing personal a visitor types is sent to us — it stays in that device's own browser — and it can be cleared at any time from the device itself.
Veilmoon is free, and offered as it is
Veilmoon is provided free of charge. To keep it that way, we may show ads in the future, but you'll never be asked to pay to read your stars.
The site is offered "as is" and "as available." We build it with care, but we can't promise it will always be perfect, uninterrupted, or free of the occasional bug, and features may change or go away over time.
Your readings are computed right on your device from an open astronomy library, and every word of interpretation is hand-written by a person — never generated by AI. We think that makes for a warmer site, but it's still meant for enjoyment, not certainty.
Your data stays on your device
Anything personal you enter — your birthday, an optional name, a birth time or place, the people you save for compatibility, your daily draws and streaks, and any notes — is stored only in your own browser, on your own device. That personal information is never sent to us, and there's no account or server-side database holding it.
One honest footnote: like any website, the server that hands you the page can keep basic technical request logs — things like an IP address, browser type, and which pages were requested — for security and reliability. That's ordinary web-server activity, not a profile of you, and it's separate from the personal details you type into a reading, which never leave your device.
You can clear all of your on-device data at any time, either through Veilmoon's "clear my data" control or by clearing your browser storage. For the full picture of how any of this works, please see our Privacy Policy.
Using Veilmoon fairly
Please use Veilmoon for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment. In return, we ask a few simple things.
Don't try to break, overload, hack, or interfere with the site or the servers behind it. Don't scrape or bulk-download the content, and don't use bots or automated tools to hammer the site. Don't use Veilmoon for anything unlawful, or in a way that harms other people or the service.
That's really the whole list: be a good guest, and let everyone else enjoy the candlelight too.
What belongs to whom
The hand-written readings, the words, the design, the artwork, and the Veilmoon name and look are ours (or used with permission), and they're protected by intellectual-property laws. Please don't copy, republish, or resell them as your own.
You're welcome to enjoy your readings, share a screenshot with a friend, or send a compatibility invite link — that's what the site is for. Just don't take Veilmoon's content wholesale and pass it off elsewhere.
And to be clear: the personal data you keep in your browser is yours. We don't claim any ownership of it, and we couldn't — it never reaches us.
Ads and links to other places
To keep Veilmoon free, we may show ads. If and when we do, those ads and any third-party partners behind them (for example, an ad network) are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, not ours — including any cookies or identifiers they may use. We aim for contextual, non-intrusive advertising and will link out to partners' policies where relevant.
Veilmoon may also link to other websites we don't run. We can't take responsibility for the content, practices, or policies of anywhere those links lead — visiting them is at your own discretion.
No warranty
Because Veilmoon is a free gift offered as-is, we can't make legal promises about it. To the fullest extent the law allows, the site and its content are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including any implied promises of accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
In plain terms: we hope Veilmoon works beautifully for you and gives you something to reflect on, but we can't guarantee it, and you use it at your own discretion.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, [OPERATOR NAME] won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses that arise from using — or being unable to use — Veilmoon, including anything connected to a reading you took to heart.
Some places don't allow certain limits like these, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Where that's the case, our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law allows.
This isn't us being cold — it's the honest footing for offering something free. Please treat Veilmoon as the gentle, for-fun companion it's meant to be.
No accounts, for now
Right now there are no accounts, logins, or passwords on Veilmoon. You don't sign up, and there's nothing for us to hold.
We may offer optional accounts someday. If we ever do, we'll update these terms and our Privacy Policy first, and explain clearly what changes — including anything new about how information is stored.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time — to add a new feature, reflect a change like advertising going live, or simply make the wording clearer.
When we make a meaningful change, we'll revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. If you keep using Veilmoon after an update, that means you're okay with the new version. It's always worth a quick read if the date has moved.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to Veilmoon or these terms will be handled under that jurisdiction's laws.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in full effect.
